Crypto.com unviels upgraded VIP program
The exchange has launched a two-part VIP structure with new qualification paths and unified fees.
Crypto.com has upgraded its VIP Program to introduce multiple qualification pathways, unified Spot and Derivatives trading fees.
According to an announcement by the crypto exchange, the program now splits benefits into a VIP Tier, which determines eligibility for Spot and Derivatives trading fees, and a VIP Tag, which unlocks non-fee privileges and is generally permanent once obtained.
The change is intended to preserve core VIP benefits even as trading activity changes, it noted.
Users can qualify for a VIP tier by meeting any one of three thresholds: 30-day Spot trading volume (including Spot Margin), 30-day Derivatives trading volume (including Futures and Perpetuals), or a last-day CRO balance.
Spot thresholds start at VIP 1 with at least $1 million in 30-day spot volume and rise to VIP 6 at $250 million, with VIP 7 by invitation. Derivatives thresholds start at $6 million and rise to $500 million for VIP 6, with VIP 7 by invitation. CRO balance thresholds run from 1.5 million CRO for VIP 1 to 60 million CRO for VIP 6, with VIP 7 by invitation.
Having a VIP Tag grants clients access to experiences including events sponsored by Crypto.com, such as Formula 1, UFC, and the Philadelphia 76ers games, plus the availability OTC trading, higher withdrawal and account limits, and priority client support.
Referrals
A referral program has been launched in parallel, allowing VIP traders refer peers using a single referral code and receive transparent, automated payouts.

The program targets high-volume, high-value market participants, Crypto.com said, adding that both referrer and referee will receive daily rewards once the new client VIP status is verified.
Referrers can earn up to 50% commission, paid in USDC in perpetuity, while referees receive up to 20% trading-fee rebates for their first 12 months, paid daily in CRO.
