Cohere has announced an expanded partnership with SAP to meet the increasing demand for sovereign AI technology across Europe and other key markets.
Through the expanded partnership, Cohere and SAP plan to provide local cloud and AI solutions to enterprise customers that address sovereignty and data residency concerns. Governments and highly regulated industries have strict security and privacy requirements and need complete control of their most sensitive data assets. As part of this strategic expansion, the companies plan to make Cohere's agentic AI platform, North, available on SAP's Cloud infrastructure and Business Technology Platform to enable customers to deploy sovereign and secure AI solutions across Europe and other regions.
This builds on the initial partnership which brought enterprises frontier enterprise-grade generative and search models within the SAP Business Suite, enabling agentic AI applications for customers across industries like finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and the public sector.
