Claude Haiku 4.5 is now available to all users as of October 15, 2025. This model provides similar coding performance to Claude Sonnet 4 at one-third the cost and more than twice the speed.
Claude Haiku 4.5 surpasses Claude Sonnet 4 in certain tasks, enhancing applications like Claude for Chrome. “Claude Haiku 4.5 hit a sweet spot we didn't think was possible: near-frontier coding quality with blazing speed and cost efficiency,” said Guy Gur-Ari, Co-Founder.
The model is designed for real-time tasks such as chat assistance and customer service. It is priced at $1/$5 per million input and output tokens. “Claude Haiku 4.5 is a leap forward for agentic coding,” stated Zach Lloyd, Founder & CEO.
Safety evaluations indicate that Claude Haiku 4.5 shows low rates of concerning behaviors and is more aligned than its predecessor. It is classified under AI Safety Level 2, indicating limited risks in producing harmful outputs.
