Anthropic launches Claude Code for web-based coding

- Claude Code now available in beta for web users
- Users can delegate coding tasks directly from their browser
- Available for Pro and Max users
Claude Code is now available on the web as a research preview, AI firm Anthropic has announced.
Users can use Anthropic's AI platform to delegate coding tasks directly from their browser, using Anthropic-managed cloud infrastructure, and enable multiple coding tasks to be run in parallel, without opening a terminal.
“You can connect your GitHub repositories, describe what you need, and Claude handles the implementation,” Anthropic said in the announcement.
Each session with Claude Code will operate in an isolated environment with real-time progress tracking.
Users can also steer Claude to adjust its approach while working through tasks, Anthropic explained.
It runs via a web interface, designed to complement existing workflows, especially during bug fixing.
Claude Code on the web is initially available for Anthropic's Pro and Max users.
