Canva launches full design Suite inside ChatGPT
Users can now generate, edit and preview designs directly inside ChatGPT.
Canva has integrated its design platform directly into ChatGPT, allowing users to create, preview, and edit branded designs without leaving their AI conversation.
The new ChatGPT app, announced today, generates context-aware designs from text prompts and displays them in a full-screen preview within ChatGPT's main interface. Users can make bulk text edits across entire designs while maintaining formatting consistency.
The integration automatically applies brand elements through Canva's Brand Kit feature, pulling in logos, colours, and fonts without manual input. The app also includes translation capabilities for presentations.
"The ChatGPT app generates context-aware designs from prompts, offers a full-screen design preview in the main interface, and supports bulk text edits across entire designs while preserving formatting," the company said in a statement.
The launch follows two earlier Canva releases: a deep research connector that searches and summarises Canva content within ChatGPT, and an AI Connector that links Canva to other AI assistants through the Canva MCP Server.

The app is now rolling out to ChatGPT users on Free, Plus, and Pro subscription tiers outside the European Union. Developers interested in building with the Canva MCP Server can access resources through the Canva Developers community.
The integration represents a shift toward embedding productivity tools directly into AI platforms rather than requiring users to switch between applications. Similar integrations have emerged across the AI assistant landscape as companies seek to reduce friction in creative workflows.
