Candy Crush launches daily puzzle game Crushable exclusively on Yahoo Games
King targets morning routines with bite-sized levels and campaign starring Frankie Muniz
King has launched Crushable, a new web-based puzzle game from the makers of Candy Crush, available exclusively on Yahoo Games in the United States.
The company said the game offers one daily level designed to fit into morning routines and deliver quick, rewarding gameplay moments. Each puzzle is intended to provide a “micro win” that players can complete in a short session.
“Candy Crush has always been about creating joyful moments that fit naturally into everyday life,” said Luken Aragon, vice-president of marketing for Candy Crush Saga at King.
“With Crushable, we are introducing a new way to play that feels fresh, rewarding, and made for daily play. Partnering with Yahoo Games helps us bring this new experience to players at tremendous scale.”
Yahoo is promoting the launch with a “Crush Your Day” campaign featuring actor Frankie Muniz. A one-minute spot, which will run across Yahoo’s social channels, shows Muniz discovering a box of Crushable cereal and playing the game during breakfast.
“I’ve spent a lot of time playing characters who hang out at the breakfast table, but what people may not know is that I’m also a big morning person in real life,” said Muniz. “Yahoo has long been part of my daily rituals, and now I’ll be adding Crushable into the mix.”
