Bybit broadens global footprint with UK platform launch
Its exchange will be available to UK users with spot and P2P services.
Bybit, a global cryptocurrency exchange that provides digital asset trading and custody services, has launched a UK-focused platform offering spot trading and peer-to-peer services, marking a renewed push into one of Europe’s most tightly regulated crypto markets.
The company said the platform supports spot trading across 100 trading pairs and includes a peer-to-peer service, underpinned by Bybit’s global liquidity. It said the UK offering has been designed to meet Financial Conduct Authority financial promotion standards, with an emphasis on transparency and clear risk disclosures for users. Bybit added that it serves more than 80 million users worldwide.
“Our goal is to give UK users reliable access to global opportunities in digital assets,” said Mykolas Majauskas, senior director of policy at Bybit. He added that the platform operates under rigorous anti money laundering and know your customer standards intended to strengthen integrity and user protection.
Ben Zhou, co founder and chief executive of Bybit, said the launch followed a year of product development focused on local requirements. “Over the past year, we have built products shaped by the needs of UK users, and we are excited to mark not just a return, but the start of a new chapter where users gain access to a platform designed to support informed engagement with the digital asset economy,” he said.
The company stressed that trading cryptoassets involves significant investment risk and that consumer protection mechanisms may not apply. It said services in the UK are provided through arrangements intended to comply with applicable FCA financial promotion rules, but that the platform itself is not authorised, regulated or registered by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Bybit said the UK launch reflects its broader strategy of expanding market access while adapting its products and disclosures to local regulatory expectations.
