Blackpool Pleasure Beach unveils theme park changes, not all visitors are happy

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has announced extensive off-season renovations and introduced new attractions for the upcoming season, albeit not all visitors welcome the changes.
Theme park in the North West of England said it aims to improve safety and the visitor experience. It includes detailed maintenance work, the refurbishment of rollercoasters and updates to park theming.
It also revealed a rebranding strategy which the park believes will broaden its appeal.
The 2024 season's opening was, however, met with visitor disappointment as the maintenance caused disruption and two of flagship rides 'The Big One' and 'Ice Blast' were closed - with the park saying the closures were due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.
Pleasure Beach also confirmed the permanent closure of the iconic Grand Prix ride, which had been operational since 1960, to make room for new, modern attractions.
Plans for a new ride, meanwhile, signalled appetite for continuing investment in the park.
