BitGo Holdings and Figure Technology Solutions have completed the first blockchain-native equity trades executed through their integrated infrastructure on Figure's Alternative Trading System (ATS) in New York.
The trades took place within Figure's Onchain Public Equity Network (OPEN), launched in February 2026, which operates as a regulated electronic trading venue on the Provenance Blockchain.
BitGo Bank & Trust, N.A. served as qualified custodian for OPEN, providing regulated custody within the trading framework, while trading and settlement occurred on-chain with activity and trade records published in real time.
Mike Belshe, chief executive of BitGo, said the partnership moved the industry toward a model in which BitGo operated as an independent trust layer to reduce risk, increase transparency, and instil confidence in continuous markets.
The companies said the structure reduces layers of intermediated reconciliation and introduces the potential for lower operational overhead and improved capital efficiency, while preserving a separation of custody from execution.

Together, BitGo and Figure said they have established a repeatable integration model for broker-dealers and asset managers seeking exposure to blockchain-native equity products.
The settlement model represents a departure from conventional equity market infrastructure, where clearing and settlement typically takes one business day and involves multiple intermediaries including central counterparties and custodian banks.
