Beyond Meat launches plant-based protein drink Beyond Immerse

US plant-based food group Beyond Meat has unveiled a new functional protein drink, Beyond Immerse, available for a limited time through its direct-to-consumer platform.

Beyond Meat is launching Beyond Immerse, a plant-based protein drink combining plant protein, fibre, antioxidants and electrolytes, the company said in a statement

The product will be sold exclusively via Beyond Test Kitchen, Beyond Meat’s direct-to-consumer site for limited releases and early-access products.

Ethan Brown, founder and chief executive of Beyond Meat, said the launch extends the company’s expertise in plant-based nutrition into the functional beverage category, describing the drink as a new way to unlock the power of plants.

Beyond Immerse debuts in three flavours — Peach Mango, Lemon Lime and Orange Tangerine — and will be offered in two protein formats per 12 fl oz serving. One version contains 10g of protein, 7g of fibre and 60 calories, while a higher-protein option delivers 20g of protein, 7g of fibre and 100 calories.

The company said the drink is made with pea protein and tapioca fibre, includes electrolytes and contains vitamin C as an antioxidant. It added that the product is designed to support muscle health and gut health, and contains no GMOs or sugar alcohols.

Beyond Meat said Beyond Immerse will be available for a limited time only through Beyond Test Kitchen, with updates shared via the company’s social media channels and customer subscriptions for future product drops
