Apple has unveiled the MacBook Neo, an all-new, featureful and 'reasonably priced' version of the popular personal computer.
It is, according to the marketing, designed to pair a durable aluminum enclosure and a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with the A18 Pro chip and up to 16 hours of battery life, with prices starting at $599.
Apple, in the launch announcement, said the new device is its most affordable laptop ever, priced from $599 and $499 for education customers. And, they are available to pre-order from today.
The MacBook Neo’s display offers a 2408-by-1506 resolution, 500 nits of brightness and support for 1 billion colors.

The machine weighs 2.7 pounds, includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, dual microphones with directional beamforming, dual side‑firing speakers supporting Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos, two USB‑C ports, a headphone jack, Wi‑Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.
Apple says the A18 Pro delivers up to 50 percent faster everyday performance versus the bestselling PC with the latest shipping Intel Core Ultra 5, up to 3x faster on-device AI workloads and up to 2x faster for photo editing; it includes a 5‑core GPU, a 16‑core Neural Engine and a fanless design.
