Apple TV to release multi-part documentary series on Andre Agassi
A new Apple Original documentary will explore the life and career of the former world number one, directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Chris Smith.
Apple TV said it will host a multi-part documentary series focused on the life and career of Andre Agassi.
The company said the series will be directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Chris Smith and produced by Smith’s Library Films. Executive producers include Stacy Smith and Justin Gimelstob.
The announcement comes sixteen years after the publication of Agassi’s memoir, Open: An Autobiography, which detailed his rise to the top of professional tennis alongside his struggles with fame, injury and motivation.
Apple said its portfolio of Apple Original films, documentaries and series has received 682 wins and 3,148 award nominations to date, underscoring the company’s growing focus on premium factual and scripted content.
Apple TV is available across a wide range of devices and screens. The service is priced at $12.99 per month and includes a seven-day free trial for new subscribers.
