Anthropic and Salesforce today announced an expanded partnership to integrate Claude as a preferred model for Salesforce's Agentforce platform.
This initiative aims to provide Salesforce customers in regulated industries with trusted AI while ensuring sensitive data remains secure.
Salesforce is deploying Claude Code across its global engineering organisation to enhance developer productivity.
Dario Amodei, CEO and Co-Founder of Anthropic, stated: “Regulated industries need frontier AI capabilities, but they also need the appropriate safeguards before they can deploy in sensitive systems.
"We've built Claude to deliver both: the performance and the safeguards.”
The partnership includes three new initiatives. First, Claude will serve as a foundational model in Agentforce via Amazon Bedrock, allowing companies like CrowdStrike and RBC Wealth Management to create AI-powered customer experiences while keeping data secure.
Rohit Gupta, Head of Digital Advisor Platforms at RBC Wealth Management, said: “Because of Anthropic on Amazon Bedrock and Agentforce, we're able to help our advisors with their most time-consuming task: meeting prep.”
Second, Anthropic and Salesforce will develop industry-specific AI solutions, starting with financial services. These solutions will enable AI agents to understand financial instruments and automate tasks, enhancing workflow efficiency.
Third, the integration between Claude and Slack will be deepened, allowing users to leverage Claude for summarising conversations and extracting insights directly within Slack.
Agentforce powered by Anthropic, is available today for select customers.
Claude and Slack bi-directional integrations are also available now, with further developments on regulated industry solutions and Agentforce 360 integration expected in the coming months.
