Amazon is working on humanoid delivery robots - report claims
Amazon is reportedly developing code to support humanoid robots that may eventually be used for deliveries.
The e-commerce and tech giant is s constructing a "humanoid park" in San Francisco to develop and test the worker bots with the facility said to include an indoor obstacle course.
A news report, by tech news site The Information, broke the story citing a source familiar with the matter.
According to The Information, Amazon will use hardware from other companies during the testing phase.
Amazon has yet to confirm or deny the report to media.
The reported project comes as Amazon has been showcasing a series of programmes in which it is applying AI and robotics in operations at warehouses, stockroom systems and delivery services.
