Ahrefs expands Brand Radar to track YouTube, TikTok and Reddit mentions
The SEO platform says the update reflects how video and community sites increasingly shape brand discovery, with new tracking designed to show where and how brands appear beyond traditional search results.
Ahrefs has expanded its Brand Radar tool to track brand mentions across YouTube, TikTok and Reddit, extending coverage beyond web pages into video platforms and online communities that increasingly influence how brands are evaluated.
The company said the update allows marketing and communications teams to monitor brand mentions within video content and to see where brands surface in Reddit results that appear inside Google Search. These environments, Ahrefs said, play a growing role in shaping consumer perception and discovery, particularly as search behaviour fragments across platforms.
The new video and Reddit tracking capabilities run on the same infrastructure that underpins Ahrefs’ artificial intelligence visibility products. According to the company, that system processes more than 239 million prompts each month and currently indexes over 162 million AI Overviews, more than 29 million AI Mode queries, and around 100 million queries across tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity.
For video platforms, Brand Radar analyses titles, descriptions and transcripts, then surfaces only the specific snippets that include brand mentions. This is intended to help teams quickly identify which videos reference their brand and understand the surrounding context, rather than trawling through full recordings or generic engagement metrics.
On Reddit, the tool tracks where brands appear in results shown within Google Search, including post titles, descriptions and subreddit snippets. Ahrefs said this visibility matters because Reddit content increasingly ranks prominently for commercial and informational queries, often shaping opinions before users reach a brand’s own site.
The expansion reflects a broader shift in how visibility is measured online. Traditional SEO has focused on rankings and links, but Ahrefs is positioning Brand Radar as a way to understand brand presence across what it sees as a more complex discovery landscape, spanning search engines, social video platforms and community-driven discussions.

Ahrefs said the update builds on its existing AI visibility tracking, allowing brands to view mentions and presence across multiple surfaces through a single interface. The company framed the move as a response to marketers’ need to understand not just where their brand ranks, but where it is talked about and how those conversations appear in search and recommendation systems.
The expanded Brand Radar features are available now, Ahrefs said, as brands seek clearer signals in an environment where influence is increasingly distributed across platforms rather than concentrated in traditional search results alone.ap
