A Harvard 'dropout' has raised $2.7mln to advance AI agents for life sciences sector

LogicFlo AI, a Boston-based company founded by Harvard dropout Udith Vaidyanathan, has raised $2.7 million in a seed funding round, with proceeds earmarked to scale an AI agent platform focused on the life sciences sector.
The company says it is developing intelligent agents to assist with high-compliance tasks across pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device teams.
This AI technology aims to reduce project timelines "from weeks to hours".
The funding round was led by Lightspeed, with participation from healthcare and enterprise AI investors.
Proceeds will support product development, new hires, and deployments with global clients, LogicFlo said.
LogicFlo's customer base includes a Fortune 500 customer, it added.
Udith Vaidyanathan, LogicFlo co-founder and CEO, said "the rest of the world is focused on automation instead of people, we are building automation for people."
"LogicFlo puts experts firmly at the center," he added. "The goal is to let the brightest people in life sciences do what only they can do - drive medical science forward and help elevate standard of care."
Users in LogicFlo interact with AI agents that operate within human-in-the-loop systems. The technology enables faster content creation and improved workflow control, according to the company.
LogicFlo was founded by Vaidyanathan, once a Harvard Business School dropout and formerly an executive at Abott, alongside Arun Ramakrishnan, who previously led AI initiatives at Intuitive Surgical.
