A new Solana-powered partnership seeks to 'tokenise' over 46 million internet domains and bridge those assets to Solana using Doma Protocol.

The venture is between D3 Global and InterNetX which manages more than 22 million active domains and over 24 million premium listings across 30,000 global partners.

Using the Doma Protocol, they will make the inventory of domains tradable on Solana.

Through the integration, users will be able to trade premium domains as NFTs on Solana marketplaces, launch premium domain tokens with transparent bonding curves, and store domains as native assets in Solana wallets.

Elias Rendón Benger, CEO of InterNetX, said: “The next phase of the internet can’t stay locked in Web2. Domains need to be programmable, liquid, and usable inside Web3 ecosystems. Doma is the only blockchain that keeps domains DNS-functional while enabling Web3 ownership and composability.

"Together with D3, we aim to bring our entire premium and retail inventory onchain at scale with zero disruption to how domains work today.”

The Recap

  • D3 and InterNetX will tokenize over 46 million domains.
  • InterNetX manages more than 22 million active domains.
  • Doma Protocol mainnet is live at start.doma.xyz.
